BLDGSTUDIO founded during the coronavirus pandemic, is a collaboration between designers Nash Taylor and Alec Buran. The pair met at SCAD where they each earned a B.F.A. in architecture both graduating summa cum laude in 2019. The firm works knowing the foremost product of the architectural discipline is the building, a construction amenable to a series of human activities. Each building the firm designs is rigorous in its architectural intent yet always abides by certain vernacular necessities and client directives.
Nash is a designer and and graduate of the Columbia GSAPP where he received both an M.Arch + MSRED. Nash is based in New York City.
Alec is a designer and M.Arch candidate at Rice Architecture. Alec is based in Houston, Texas.
